What is perfomance testing?

• From ISTQB → Testing to determine the performance efficiency of a component or system.
• Performance Testing is the type of Non-Functional Testing.

Objective of perfomance testing:

• Simulate real business use cases for your app.
• Test the app under pre-defined concurrency
• Validating the app/servers readiness ahead of peak events
• Test the app before/after version release to ensure stability

What is JMeter?

• Apache JMeter is an Apache project that can be used as a load testing tool for analyzing and measuring the performance of a variety of services, with a focus on web applications.

How to install?

Need java first :

java -version

The easiest way to install it is using Homebrew:

brew install jmeter
